The Company strongly believes in implementing state-of-the-art solutions to further reduce environmental impact across the gas processing activities while maintaining robust performance. Along with meeting regulatory requirements. UGDC ​actively focuses on greenhouse gas (GHG) management program, air quality, waste and wastewater management. ​

GREENHOUSE GAS (GHG) MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

UGDC has developed a GHG management strategy:

  • Monitoring and reporting of GHG performance
  • Reviewing opportunities to reduce GHG emissions.
  • Establishing key performance indicators.
  • Benchmarking against Oil and Gas Climate Initiatives (OGCI) and local regulations

WASTE MANAGEMENT STARATEGY

Waste management system is the entire process of managing wastes in a manner which monitors the total lifecycle of wastes and associated environmental impact performance through:

  • Comply with Egyptian laws & Regulations
  • Review of the entire process of minimizing the generation, handling, treatment and waste disposal.
  • Assessment and mitigation of environmental hazards and effects.

WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT​

UGDC’s goal is minimizing wastewater discharge and maximizing the efficient use of water by:

  • Treat and re-use of Sewage waste water in green landscape irrigation
  • Develop UGDC water Map for PS NGL Plant, Damietta Facilities and Cairo head office looking for optimizing water usage
