Company activities for 2025:

Eng. Islam Basyoni UGDC Chairman & MD presented the company activities and business results for year 2025 that summarized as follows:

Production

UGDC continues to achieve its targeted national & economical roles and maintains the positive cooperation to fulfill its contractual obligations to maximize the returns to support the economy.

  • Propane production reached 111 K tons, compared to 102 K tons planned.
  • LPG production reached 83 K tons, compared to 61 K tons planned.
  • Condensates production reached 90 K tons, compared to 78 K tons planned.
  • Total Derivatives production reached 10.49 million tons – since start in 2005, which equals about 118.76 million BBL.

Major activities

  • Damietta terminal successfully received 8 imported LPG cargoes on behalf of EGPC with total amount of 340 K tons, which was dispatched to PPC Tanta through new import receiving facility and successful operation of offloading pumps.
  • The company has also succeeded in exporting 6 propane cargoes through Damietta terminal with total amount 60.8 K tons.
  • The company successfully provided all the necessary facilities at the Damietta terminal to receive and operate the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU), where 6 LNG cargoes were received.
  • Through the application of continuous maintenance programs and reducing the downtime, UGDC succeeded to achieve an Availability record (Availability 100%).

 Energy Performance

  • Continued the implementation of fuel efficiency improvement practices at no cost by optimizing the fuel used in Siemens turbines and hot oil Verga heater leading to huge fuel gas savings and greenhouse gas reduction.
  • Applying no cost reduction in monthly purge gas flow to the flare equivalent to 72.4% of purge gases leading to a reduction of CO2e emissions per annum with the same percentage.
  • Continuous improvements in fuel consumption resulted in reducing the Energy Performance Indicator (EnPI) from 14.12 million BTU per million standard cubic feet (MMSCF) in 2022 to 11.37 million BTU per MMSCF in 2025.
