Since its establishment in 2002, the United Gas Derivatives Company continues to meet Part of the market’s needs of petroleum derivatives (Butane and Condensates) as well as liquefied propane to secure supplies for the Egyptian Polypropylene EPP at Port Said district.

Company activities for the first half of year 2024

Eng. Refaat Abd El Khalek UGDC Chairman & MD presented the company activities and business results for the first half of year 2024 that summarized as follows:

  • Outstanding Safety and Environmental Stewardship:
    • Maintained zero recordable incidents and zero process safety Tier-1 or Tier-2 events.
    • Reached 2.6 million safe working hours without lost time injuries.
    • Awarded 2nd Place GPA International Division I Company Safety Award for excellent 2023 HSE performance
    • Achieved over 20% emission reduction in both 2023 and 2024 (YTD) through energy efficiency optimization and GHG reduction initiatives
  • Total NGL production is 26 % over target thanks to UGDC team efforts to maximize plant availability and liquid recovery almost @ 100 %.
  • Damietta terminal had received Two imported propane cargos and successfully received 10 imported LPG cargos with a total amount of 410,000 tons of LPG
